So here we are, at SM Marikina, just inaugurated September 5, (2008). Whether per consistency or fair design of a mall, SM Marikina, I would say is a work of mediocrity. SM Marikina has no personality, sure the materials are good to look at, but per geometry or attraction, this mall won't even win any design awards, if there is such, I would condemn them.The view above is from their overpass. If you're taking Marcos highway, then you'll need to cross via that long narrow overpass. I'm sick of the stairs, it's way too narrow, for such mass transit of a mall.
Parking areas in front of the mall. There is a conundrum over parking areas:parking areas as we all know are part of provisions of mall, or any edifice; should they consider a fee; since it's for a premise to provide such basic service? This problem has been brought to court and was once researched; and in fact was also crusaded by a lawyer, unfortunately he passed away.
Alfresco, or outside dining; another SM Markina mediocrity. And speaking of outside provisions, I wished they provided a stage outside with booths around for a more interactive atmospehere.

From second floor and above, SM Markina's mall has a nice view of skyline.
And of course, the heart of SM Marikina and every mall as well, the same old brand new Department Store.

This view is a little nice, the trees are refreshingly good. They should have provide more at least, better yet, an open plaza like SM Mall of Asia have.
